Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) – Weekend On-Call

Location: Western Massachusetts (Holyoke/Springfield area preferred)
Job Type: Part-Time | Permanent | Direct Hire
Schedule: On-Call | Friday 5:00 PM – Monday 8:00 AM

Compensation
– $5.00/hr while on call
– $75 routine visit
– $125 death visit
– $225 admission visit
– $40/hr for meetings/trainings
– $0.72/mile mileage reimbursement

Join a compassionate hospice team providing after-hours nursing support throughout Western Massachusetts. Coverage includes communities along the Interstate 91 corridor from the Vermont border to the Connecticut border. This role provides urgent clinical care, symptom management, admissions, and end-of-life support for patients in their homes and care facilities. The position is currently part-time with the opportunity to transition into a salaried role as patient census grows.

Responsibilities:
– Provide after-hours triage and symptom management
– Complete hospice admissions and patient assessments
– Coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team
– Document care using WellSky/Kinnser EMR
– Support patients and families with compassionate end-of-life care

Requirements:
– Active RN license and CPR certification
– Minimum 3 years RN experience
– At least 1 year of hospice experience required
– Ability to work independently in urgent situations
– Reliable transportation and willingness to travel
