Position Overview
A Magnet-designated, nonprofit Level II Trauma Center is seeking an experienced Assistant Nurse Manager – Operating Room to help lead its high-acuity surgical team.
The 12-room General OR supports a diverse surgical program including neurosurgery, vascular, thoracic, robotics, and additional specialties. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced OR nurse with leadership experience looking to build their management career.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily OR operations, staffing, and patient flow
- Lead, coach, and develop OR nursing staff
- Maintain regulatory and survey readiness
- Drive patient satisfaction and operational improvements
- Support scheduling, reporting, and administrative functions
- Serve as a clinical and operational resource
- Partner closely with the Nurse Manager and surgical leadership
Requirements
- BSN required
- Active Maryland RN license
- BLS certification
- Minimum 2 years of Operating Room RN experience
- Minimum 1 year of leadership experience
- Strong staff development, communication, and operational skills
