Position Overview

A leading Level II Trauma Center is seeking an experienced Director of Surgical Services to provide strategic and operational leadership for a high-volume perioperative department. This role oversees quality, staffing, budgeting, physician relations, and regulatory compliance while driving exceptional patient outcomes and department growth.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day Surgical Services operations
• Manage budgets, staffing, productivity, and resources
• Drive quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
• Ensure regulatory and accreditation compliance
• Partner with physicians and executive leadership
• Develop and mentor nursing leaders and staff
• Support strategic growth and service line expansion

Requirements

• Active RN license
• BSN required (Master’s preferred)
• 2+ years of recent Acute Care Director of Surgical Services experience OR several years of OR Manager experience in a large trauma center
• Strong background in perioperative operations, budgeting, and leadership
• Excellent communication and team-building skills
